Cambridge Upper Secondary (Grades 9 & 10) – IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)

The Cambridge IGCSE programme is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds and is an excellent preparation for high school. It is a highly recognised qualification by leading colleges, universities and employers worldwide (including India). The curriculum during these two years offers a variety of routes for students with a wide range of abilities. At CAGS our subject choices encourage students to engage with a plethora of subjects, and make connections between them. This aspect is fundamental to our approach in this section of the school.

Subjects

As part of the IGCSE Program – we offer a wide variety of subject choices which are designed to engage and challenge our students. Keeping the subject selection in mind, students are able to tailor their learning (through selection of subjects) to their aptitude/ interests. They would be guided by our Cambridge Head/counsellor to ensure their subject selection would enable them pursue their desired academic option/career later in life (at high school / university level). Students will be required to study a minimum of 6 subjects and a maximum of 7 subjects as part of the IGCSE Program at CAGS.
